"In Full Circle: A Life Story, Ronnie L. Richards, allows new generations to experience the tribulations, heartaches, and triumphs of the depression era and the Oklahoma Dustbowl. Through the lives of Mae and Clarence Miller, Richards touches readers in deep and tender places, bringing to mind and heart a time that demanded a strength of character and an ability to both fight and love that serves to remind the reader of qualities greatly needed today. I highly recommend that you take this walk with Mae and Clarence along the paths of two lives that were destined to be lived together." - Keith Remer, Award Winning author of The Hiding Place of Thunder

Bobby thought the summer he turned thirteen was just going to be a typical summer – moving into another old rent house and keeping away from his alcoholic, abusive dad's wrath. He never dreamed how wrong he would be. His life would be changed forever and not everyone in his circle of family and friends would survive. Will his place in the shadows provide him enough comfort and safety to come out on the other end of that fateful summer?

This novel, as is the case with most novels, was born of personal experience. Life was not easy in rural Oklahoma in the mid-1960's. My childhood was very similar to many who battled poverty. It was a time in which many a blind eye was turned when it came to taking out frustrations on wives and children.

.

Writing this book caused me to experience feelings I thought I had long buried. It amazed and frightened me at how vivid those memories were, even after nearly fifty years. I have dedicated this book to those who suffered or are suffering from domestic or child abuse - both physical and emotional. Many like myself have survived it; but not without scars.

Rhodesville: secrets - death - going back home

ISBN-979-8862460889

Lee Burrows thought he had the trauma of his childhood behind him. After high school, Lee moved to Boston from his tiny hometown of Rhodesville, located in the far northwest corner of Alabama. Over the years he buried those terrible childhood memories. When the invite came, his wife urged him to attend his thirtieth high school reunion. Fearing he may have to face his past, Lee reluctantly agreed to attend the reunion.

As soon as Lee stepped out of his car in Rhodesville the memories roared back. The secret he held inside exposed itself. A secret he had told no one about, not even his wife. The secret that explained how one of his closest childhood friends had died.

They were only eleven years old and camping alone when the unthinkable happened. What young Lee told everyone about his friend's death was not the truth. Lee came face-to-face with the truth soon after his arrival for the class reunion.
